Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026

CalcDom is a free calculator platform offering 119 calculators across 18 categories for users in India, UAE, the United States, the United Kingdom, and globally. We are committed to your privacy — not as a legal formality, but as a design principle baked into every part of how CalcDom is built.

This policy explains exactly what data we collect (very little), what we do not collect (almost everything), how we handle what we have, and what rights you hold. The short version: your calculator inputs never leave your browser, we do not require accounts, we do not build profiles, and we do not sell data. There is no server that receives your EMI figures, your salary details, your body weight, or your investment amounts. All computation happens entirely in your browser, in JavaScript, with zero network requests for calculation results.

We believe that the best privacy policy is one that reflects a genuine minimum of data collection. The less we hold, the less there is to misuse, breach, or subpoena. This policy reflects that philosophy in full.

We do not collect, transmit, store, or process any of the following:

  • Calculator inputs and resultsLoan amounts, EMI figures, salaries, tax brackets, investment amounts, health metrics (weight, height, BMI), pregnancy dates, calorie counts, mortgage values, crypto portfolio sizes — none of these are ever sent to any server. All computation is client-side.
  • Personal identificationName, email address, phone number, date of birth, national ID (Aadhaar, PAN, Emirates ID, SSN, NI number) — CalcDom never asks for any of these unless you choose to email us voluntarily.
  • Financial dataBank account details, credit card numbers, UPI IDs, investment portfolio information, brokerage account data, income tax returns — we have no access to any of this.
  • Health and medical dataMedical conditions, prescriptions, diagnoses, health records, fitness tracking data, biometric identifiers. Even our health calculators (BMI, TDEE, pregnancy, ovulation) operate entirely offline in your browser.
  • Precise location dataNo GPS coordinates, no IP-based geolocation targeting, no city-level data. Plausible Analytics provides country-level aggregated geography only — it is not tied to any individual user.
  • Browsing history within CalcDomWe do not track which calculators you used in a session, what inputs you entered, or how you navigated across pages. Page-view analytics are aggregate counts, not individual journeys.
  • Cross-site tracking dataWe do not use tracking pixels, fingerprinting, session replay tools, heatmap scripts, or any technology designed to identify individual users across sessions or websites.

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-first, EU-hosted analytics platform that is GDPR compliant, CCPA compliant, cookieless, and collects zero personal data. Through Plausible we may receive the following aggregated, anonymous signals:

  • Page viewsWhich pages are visited and how often — for example, how many times the EMI Calculator page was loaded on a given day. Not who visited, not in what sequence.
  • Referrer / traffic sourceHow visitors arrive at CalcDom — for example, via a Google search, a direct URL, or a link on another website. This is the referring domain, not your full browsing history.
  • Country-level geographyThe country from which a page was accessed, derived from a one-way hash of the IP address that is immediately discarded. Not your city, district, street, or precise coordinates.
  • Device typeWhether the visit came from a desktop, mobile phone, or tablet — aggregated across all visits, not attributed to any individual.
  • Browser typeChrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, etc. — aggregated, not per-user. Helps us prioritise browser compatibility.

Plausible explicitly does not use cookies, does not store IP addresses, does not track users across websites, does not assign persistent user IDs, and does not build individual profiles. All data is aggregated. You can review Plausible's data practices at plausible.io/privacy.

If you email us at majtechsupport@gmail.com, we collect your email address and the content of that message for the purpose of responding to your enquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list, and we do not share your email with any third party.

CalcDom itself sets zero cookies. We store exactly two lightweight items in your browser's localStorage. Unlike cookies, localStorage items are never transmitted to any server — they live entirely inside your browser.

KeyPurposeDurationStorage
themeLight / dark mode preferencePersistent (until cleared)localStorage
calcdom_input_hint_seenOne-time UI hint flag — prevents repeat display of onboarding tooltipPersistent (until cleared)localStorage

No calculator data — inputs, results, or history — is ever written to localStorage. You can clear these items at any time via your browser settings under Site Data or Storage. Clearing them resets your theme preference to the system default and re-shows the UI hint; it has no effect on calculator functionality.

While CalcDom itself sets no cookies, third-party services embedded in the site may set their own cookies in your browser:

  • Google AdSenseIf display ads are served, Google may set cookies for ad personalisation and measurement. These cookies are governed by Google's own privacy policy. To opt out of personalised advertising, visit adssettings.google.com. You can also opt out of interest-based advertising via the Digital Advertising Alliance.
  • VercelOur hosting provider may set essential cookies for security, performance, and bot detection purposes. These are infrastructure-level cookies and cannot be disabled without impacting site functionality. Vercel's privacy policy is at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

We do not use cookies for our own analytics — Plausible Analytics is entirely cookieless. We do not use retargeting cookies, session replay cookies, or any cookies designed to track you across websites for our own benefit.

Our data retention policy is simple because we retain almost nothing:

  • Calculator inputs and resultsNot retained. Never collected. Exist only in your browser's memory for the duration of your session.
  • Plausible analytics dataRetained for 24 months in aggregate, anonymous form. No individual user data is retained at any point — IP addresses are hashed and discarded immediately, not stored.
  • Email correspondenceIf you email us, we retain your email address and message for the purpose of support and follow-up only. We do not add you to any list, and we will delete your email correspondence on request.
  • localStorage itemsStored in your browser until you clear site data. Never transmitted to us. We have no copy of these on any server.

CalcDom uses the following third-party services to operate:

Vercel

Hosting & Global CDN

Serves CalcDom to users worldwide via a global edge network. Handles routing, SSL termination, and performance. Vercel processes HTTP requests and may log IP addresses temporarily for security and abuse prevention. These logs are not shared with CalcDom.

Commission links

Some calculators include affiliate links to financial products, insurance providers, or brokerages. Clicking these links takes you to third-party websites with their own privacy policies. CalcDom earns a commission; this has no effect on calculator results or accuracy.

We do not share user data with any of these services beyond what is automatically transmitted during normal web browsing. None of these services receive your calculator inputs.

If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR. Because CalcDom collects virtually no personal data, most of these rights are automatically satisfied — but we honour all of them:

  • Right of access (Art. 15)You can request a copy of any personal data we hold on you. If you have never emailed us, the answer is: we hold nothing. If you have emailed us, we hold only that correspondence.
  • Right to erasure / "right to be forgotten" (Art. 17)You can request deletion of your personal data. For most users there is nothing to delete. If you have emailed us, we will delete that correspondence on request.
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18)You can ask us to restrict how we process your data while a dispute is being resolved.
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20)You can request your data in a machine-readable format. If you have emailed us, we can provide that correspondence in plain text or PDF.
  • Right to object (Art. 21)You can object to any processing of your personal data. Plausible Analytics is cookieless and collects no personal data, so there is nothing to object to for analytics. For AdSense, object via Google's ad settings.
  • Right not to be subject to automated decision-making (Art. 22)CalcDom makes no automated decisions about individuals. Calculator results are informational only and generated entirely on your own device.

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) provide you with the following rights:

  • Right to knowYou have the right to know what personal information is collected, used, shared, or sold. This policy is that disclosure.
  • Right to deleteYou have the right to request deletion of personal information. For most users, there is nothing to delete. If you have emailed us, contact us and we will delete that correspondence.
  • Right to opt out of sale of personal informationCalcDom does not sell personal information to any third party. We never have, and we do not intend to.
  • Right to non-discriminationExercising any CCPA right will not result in different pricing, reduced service, or any other penalty. CalcDom is free and all calculators remain accessible regardless of privacy choices.
  • Right to correct inaccurate personal informationIf you believe we hold inaccurate information about you (e.g., in email correspondence), contact us and we will correct or delete it.

CalcDom does not engage in the "sale" of personal information as defined by the CCPA. We do not share personal data with third parties for monetary consideration or other valuable consideration for their own commercial purposes. To submit a CCPA request, email majtechsupport@gmail.com with the subject line CalcDom — CCPA Request.

CalcDom serves a significant user base in India. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA), Indian users have the following rights as data principals:

  • Right to access informationYou may request a summary of personal data processed and the identities of any data fiduciaries or processors with whom it has been shared. For CalcDom: no personal data is processed during calculator use.
  • Right to correction and erasureYou may request correction of inaccurate personal data and erasure of personal data no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. For email correspondence: contact us and we will erase it.
  • Right to grievance redressalYou may raise a grievance with us regarding any aspect of personal data handling. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Right to nominateIn the event of death or incapacity, you may nominate another individual to exercise your data rights on your behalf.
  • ConsentNo personal data is collected from Indian users during normal CalcDom use. If you contact us by email, you are providing implicit consent for us to retain that correspondence for support purposes.

To exercise any right under the DPDPA, email majtechsupport@gmail.com with the subject line CalcDom — PDPB Request.

CalcDom is hosted on Vercel's global Content Delivery Network (CDN), which serves pages from edge nodes located in multiple countries including India, the UAE, the EU, the UK, and the United States. This means a page request from Mumbai may be served by a Vercel node in Mumbai — and vice versa for other regions.

Plausible Analytics is EU-hosted (Frankfurt, Germany), and all analytics data resides within the EU under GDPR-compliant storage and processing conditions.

The critical point is that no personal data is transferred internationally because we do not collect personal data in the first place. The only data that crosses borders is the standard HTTP traffic necessary to serve web pages — the same that occurs with any website you visit. This traffic is governed by Vercel's data processing terms and privacy policy.

CalcDom is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain EU jurisdictions where member states have set a higher minimum age for digital consent). We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. Our calculators are informational financial and lifestyle tools intended for adult use.

Because CalcDom does not collect personal information during normal use, the risk of inadvertent collection from minors is minimal. Nonetheless, we take this responsibility seriously and comply with:

  • COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) — United States, under-13
  • GDPR Article 8 — EU/UK, under-13 to under-16 depending on member state
  • DPDPA — India, protects personal data of children

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information (for example, by emailing us), please contact majtechsupport@gmail.com and we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

You have multiple ways to minimise or eliminate any data collection related to your CalcDom usage:

  • Opt out of Plausible analyticsPlausible respects the Do Not Track (DNT) browser signal. Enable DNT in your browser settings and Plausible will not count your visits. Alternatively, any standard ad blocker (uBlock Origin, Brave Shields, etc.) will block the Plausible script entirely.
  • Opt out of Google AdSense cookiesVisit adssettings.google.com to control Google's ad personalisation. You can also use the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out tool at optout.aboutads.info.
  • Opt out of everythingUse CalcDom in your browser's private or incognito mode. No localStorage items will be set, no analytics scripts will persist, and no data will be retained after the window is closed.
  • Clear localStorageOpen your browser's developer tools (F12), navigate to Application > Local Storage > calcdom.com, and delete any items manually. Or use your browser's "Clear site data" option in settings.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of CalcDom after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. If we make material changes — for example, if we ever begin collecting personal data or introduce user accounts — we will make reasonable efforts to notify users prominently on the homepage before those changes take effect.

Minor clarifications, formatting updates, or corrections to links do not constitute material changes and will not be separately announced.
